Wilma's Writing Flow
Writing is like a flowing river that has wended its way through my life. At the age of 8, I began writing a daily diary, a practice that I still continue. In 6th grade, writing a novella helped me cope with a tragic loss, and I dreamed of publishing it one day. During middle school and high school, I crafted poetry to express my angst. I also wrote an award-winning short story, an autobiography, and the class poem and speech for my graduating class. As an adult, I continue to explore life via journaling, creative non-fiction, short stories, and memoir. A few years ago, I wrote a teen fantasy novel that I am working toward publishing, and recently I have begun a longer adult novel.

and helps me to make sense of life.”
